| The love that my father and my grandparents had for these four old rustic walls has been passed down to me. My memories lie in this old place, with the voice of my grandfather and the other elderly folks from the village, gathered around the stove discussing what they should do the following day . the careful scrutiny of the grandmothers, knitting socks for their men. the joyful laughing of us children as we played hide and seek among the animals.
This is why I have attempted to restore these walls with genuine love and cordial respect for outsiders .. a job . my job.
The story tells itself, the life in these parts, made up of hard work in the fields, battles and borders. It also recounts all the stages in the development of skiing, born here over one hundred years ago. Today, in this land steeped in the longstanding traditions of hospitality, I hope to be able to transmit to my customers some of the passion, simplicity and tranquillity that my family felt in this area, and I will try to do it starting from the name I have chosen: "PETITTA", which is the blanket that my grandmother would make for her great grandchildren when they were born, and which they still cherish today. |
